Thessaloniki Film Festival’s AGORA Co-Production Forum To Present 14 Projects From 16 Countries For 21st Edition — Full List

EXCLUSIVE: The Thessaloniki International Film Festival’s industry-focused AGORA section has selected 14 projects from 16 countries for this year’s Crossroads Co-production Forum. Scroll down for the full list of projects.

This year’s Co-production Forum will run from November 2-6. The Crossroads Co-production Forum Jury features Frank Hoeve, Producer at BALDR Film (The Netherlands), Uljana Kim, Producer at Studio Uljana Kim (Lithuania), and Andreas Zoupanos Kritikos, Producer and Chief Operating Officer at Faliro House (Greece), as well as the Arte Kino International Award Juror, Mathilde Hersant, Head οf Finance at ARTE France Cinéma (France).

The selected projects hail from countries including Spain, Albania, Tunisia, Poland, and, of course, Greece. Cash awards available for prize winners include €10,000 for the winner of the Onassis Film Award. That award can only be won by a Greek project participating in the Crossroads Co-production Forum or AGORA Works in Progress.

This year, Thessaloniki has also launched a new initiative titled FOCUS sessions. The initiative sees four shortlisted Greek projects from this year’s Crossroads Co-production Forum invited to participate in networking and development sessions with industry professionals, including Sergina Stavroulaki, Acquisitions at Heretic (Greece) and Thibaut Bracq, Program Manager at La Fabrique – Cannes (France). You can see the list of FOCUS titles below.

Elsewhere, Finland is the guest country of Thessaloniki’s 2025 Bridge to the North scheme. The initiative, which is in its third year, aims to connect the industry from the South and North of Europe. Last year’s country of honor was Sweden. The festival will present one Finnish project from filmmaker Tonislav Hristov and producer Kaarle Aho (Making Movies). Thessaloniki has partnered with the Finnish Film Foundation, Helsinki International Film Festival, and Finnish Film Affair on this year’s Bridge to the North scheme.

Recent Crossroads Co-production Forum projects include Cannes titles Blackbird Blackbird Blackberry by Elene Naveriani and Inshallah A Boy by Amjad Al Rasheed. Estibaliz Urresola Solaguren’s Berlin competition title, 20,000 Species of Bees, was also developed at Crossroads. Check out the full list of 2025 titles below.

The 2025 Thessaloniki International Film Festival will run from October 30th to November 9th.
