Snarky Taylor Swift Directs ‘Showgirl’ Taylor Swift In New Video: “She’s Got Cat Hair All Over Her”

It’s pretty clear Taylor Swift wants to direct. She’s won awards for helming her own music videos and set a feature-length movie with Fox Searchlight. Now, we’re finding out what she’s like on set.

In a new, self-deprecating promo for the release of an exclusive edition her The Life of a Showgirl album in Target stores, we see Swift the director with bullhorn in hand giving instructions to Swift the superstar, who’s dressed in her ‘Showgirl’ outfit and throwing glitter at a video shoot.

“What is going on with with the posture?” Director Swift asks Showgirl Swift. “It’s giving ‘no girl,’ not ‘showgirl.’”

As Showgirl Swift stumbles a bit in her high heels, Director Swift tells someone off camera, “She’s got cat hair all over her.”

The promo specifically touts the Target-only edition of the album, The Life of a Showgirl: The Crowd is Your King Edition on Summertime Spritz Pink Shimmer Vinyl.

The superstar’s 12th studio album is out October 3. Her Taylor Swift: The Official Release Party of a Showgirl film opens in theaters the same day.
