Is the Timothée Chalamet movie ‘Marty Supreme’ streaming on Netflix or HBO Max?
It wouldn’t be Christmas without three-hour prestige Oscar movie in theaters, and this year that honor belongs to Marty Supreme, the new Timothée Chalamet movie opening in theaters this week.
Directed by Josh Safdie—a director known for his unsettling movies made with his brother, Benny, like Good Time and Uncut Gems—with a script co-written by Safdie his frequent collaborator Ronald Bronstein, Marty Supreme is a dark sports comedy, loosely based on the real-life champion American table tennis player Marty Reisman. Chalamet stars as Marty, a rising table tennis star living in New York City in the 1950s, who is determined to become the best.
Also starring Gwyneth Paltrow, Odessa A’zion, Kevin O’Leary, Tyler Okonma, Abel Ferrara and Fran Drescher, Marty Supreme has received rave reviews from critics, earned three Golden Globe nominations, and seems like a likely Oscar front-runner. If your family can handle the long runtime, it sounds like a good one to watch in theaters. But if you’d rather wait to watch the movie at home, where you can pause for bathroom breaks, read on to find out when and where we expect to be able to watch the Marty Supreme movie on streaming.

Where to watch the Marty Supreme movie:
Marty Supreme will only available to watch in a movie theater, when it opens U.S. in theaters on Thursday, December 25. You can find a showing near you via Fandango. The Marty Supreme movie is not yet available to watch online or on streaming.
Is the Timothee Chalamet movie Marty Supreme streaming on Netflix?
Marty Supreme is not streaming on Netflix and likely will not be on Netflix in the U.S. any time soon, due to the fact that the film is an A24 release, and the 2023 deal between A24 and Warner Bros. Discovery, brings all A24’s previous and upcoming theatrical releases to the Warner Bros. streaming service HBO Max. If you want to watch Marty Supreme at home, you’ll have to wait for the film to be available to buy or rent on digital platforms, or wait for it to stream on HBO Max.
If you’re new to HBO Max, you can sign up for as low as $10.99/month with ads, but an ad-free subscription will cost $18.49/month.
If you want to stream even more and save a few bucks a month while you’re at it, we recommend subscribing to one of the discounted Disney+ Bundles with Hulu and HBO Max. With ads, the bundle costs $19.99/month and without ads, $32.99/month.
When will Marty Supreme be streaming on HBO Max?
You might see Marty Supreme streaming on HBO Max around April 2026.
Marty Supreme not yet streaming on HBO Max. Right now, the movie is only in theaters. That said, we do expect to see Marty Supreme streaming on HBO Max eventually—thanks to the A24 and Warner Bros. deal—but we’re not sure when.
The A24 deal is a “Pay-1 deal,” which means A24 movies will start streaming on Max in the “Pay 1 window,” meaning that Max will be the first “TV channel” to pay for the rights to Marty Supreme, after the film has been released on digital and home media. One recent A24 title, Sorry Baby, began streaming on HBO Max about four months after its release in theaters, and about three months after its release on digital.
If Marty Supreme follows a similar release strategy, you might see Marty Supreme on digital in about a month, around late January 2026, and streaming on HBO Max in about four months, around late April 2026.
This is all speculation. The A24 digital and streaming releases have varied by title. If you want to watch Marty Supreme right away, you can catch the movie in all U.S. theaters on Friday.
