Lionsgate Inks First Look Deal With Producers Daniel Grodnik & Jeffrey Reisner

EXCLUSIVE: Lionsgate has entered into a three-year co-financing and first look deal with producer Daniel Grodnik and his partner Jeffrey Reisner via their company Golden Eagle Movie Studios.

It is expected that Grodnik and Reisner will focus on releases for Lionsgate’s vibrant multiplatform business. With Lionsgate, Grodnik has previously produced the features Mindcage starring Martin Lawrence and John Malkovich, and Primal, starring Nicolas Cage. 

Lauren Bixby, EVP Acquisitions & Co-Productions for the Lionsgate Motion Picture Group said, “Lionsgate is excited to be back in business with Dan. His movies consistently appeal to audiences worldwide and he is a nimble and effective producer. We can’t wait to see what his future projects have in store.”

Grodnik most recently produced Fast Charlie, directed by Phillip Noyce, and starring Pierce Brosnan, Morena Baccarin, and James Caan in his final film role.

Next up for Lionsgate at the box office is the Francis Lawrence directed feature take of Stephen King’s The Long Walk opening on Sept. 12.
