Cowboys-Eagles Game Evacuates Philly Stadium Amid Weather Delay

Apparently, it’s not always sunny in Philadelphia, as the EaglesCowboys game is delayed at Lincoln Financial Field.

During Thursday’s NFL Kickoff Game in Philly, the stands were evacuated amid a severe thunderstorm warning by the National Weather Service, delaying the game by up to an estimated hour or more, according to a broadcast.

“A severe thunderstorm warning has been issued by the National Weather Service for our area. These storms may produce severe conditions, including lightning and strong winds,” NFL on Fox announced on social media. “For your safety, please exit the open seating area at this time and seek shelter along the concourses. Thank you for your cooperation.”

The game was suspended at around 10:25pm ET with the Eagles leading the Cowboys 24-20, with 4:44 remaining in the third quarter. The game is expected to resume at 11:30pm.
