Hays County Republicans push to hand-count ballots, ditch voting centers in next year’s primary

The Hays County Republican Party wants to change how the March 2026 primary is run, pushing to eliminate electronic voting machines – opting for paper ballots instead – and requiring voters to cast ballots only in the precinct where they live.
