Leaked ‘Legend of Zelda’ movie set video shows Link and Zelda in full costume

The video game-loving world is awaiting the trailer for the highly anticipated “The Legend of Zelda” movie. Though that may take some time, internet sleuths have found a video online that was taken from the set of the movie in New Zealand.

The roles of Zelda and Link have gone to Bo Bragason and Benjamin Evan Ainsworth, respectively. Little is known about the full plot of the film, but it will follow the hit video game, “Breath of the Wild.”

Per reports, principal photography is happening in New Zealand, which is where the leaked video has come from.

In an account from josh.and.pine, the video for the set of the adaptation showcases both Bragason as Zelda and Ainsworth as Link. Both appear to be in video-accurate costumes that appeared in “The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.”

There appears to be some sort of horse riding scene being filmed, as Bragason is seen approaching a black horse at one point.

Considering the film follows the massive hit video game from 2017, it is believed that the villain for the video game will be none other than Ganondorf. However, there have been no additional casting announcements thus far.

Video game adaptations have exploded in popularity with shows like “The Last of Us,” “Fallout,” and “Twisted Metal” being hit with rave reviews.

Certain films have also been a success, such as the “Sonic” series, “Uncharted,” and “The Super Mario Bros. Movie.” With the latter making over a billion dollars the worldwide box office, more adaptations are on the way.

What might be a bit of a hurdle for “The Legend of Zelda” adaptation is whether or not Link will talk in the movie. Historically, he does not do anything but yell when striking enemies and rolling through pots.

Even in “Breath of the Wild,” Link goes through the entire adventure listening to Zelda discuss the history of Hyrule and talk about the evil Ganondorf. Wes Ball is set to direct the film, and he may choose to not only give Link some dialogue, but he may also be a huge talker throughout the whole movie.

Though fans may take umbrage with a Link that talks, at least both Zelda and Link look fantastic in their costumes.
